The beautiful Oak Valley wine estate in Elgin is home to some picturesque mountain biking trails, Visitors can choose from three trails; the 14km blue route, 24km red route and 32 km black route.

The trails are mostly well-maintained singletrack, with bridges over farm fences and streams, making for a highly enjoyable ride.

The biking trail takes the rider through beautiful natural scenery, including forests of ancient oak trees, through vineyards, through apple and pear orchards and across sub-clover/grass pastures, set against the stunning backdrop of the protected fynbos on the slopes of the Groenlandberg Mountain.

Cost R40 per adult, R30 per child. Open 365 days a year during daylight hours only.

Riders can stop off at the Deli & Wine tasting bar, or the Pool Room Restaurant for breakfast or lunch after their ride.
